Empowering communities for a better future
This Costa Rican charitable organization fosters values-based leadership and skills to break the cycle of poverty, transforming individuals and their communities. But just how to convey the special nature of this particular endeavor, to set it apart and give it a strong, flexible identity as it faces the challenges of today and tomorrow?
First we created the verbal identity. The name Transforma says it all, or nearly all, as the organization demonstrates results by transformation. For the visual identity we looked to the uniqueness of Costa Rica itself with its wild nature and striking beauty. The logo, inspired by the country’s native Morpho butterfly, a bright beacon of grace and power, is coupled with hand-lettered typography to evoke a sense of personal attention and care. The color red infuses it with positive associations such as the will to survive and the hope to make a better life.
